What is masters commission?
The great commission
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”-Matthew 28:19, 20. To know God and to make Him known: this is our mission. We believe that we have been commissioned by the Father to teach, encourage, equip, and to raise up a generation of young people that have an intense passion for the truth of the gospel and a desire to leave their mark on history for the glory of God.
To know god
Masters Commission is dedicated to maturing the disciples intimacy with God. It is our prayer that through discipleship each student will gain a deeper, more intimate relationship with the Savior. When a disciple has gained a solid relationship with the Lord, all other aspects of Masters Commission training will fall into place. The kingdom of God is built upon relationships. Before one can effectively minister to the lost and hurting, he or she must know what it is to minister to the Lord. We want every disciple to come to a deeper understanding of who God is.
To make him known
Our relationship with God is vital as we seek to make Him known. The heart of the Father, and the heartbeat of Masters Commission is to win the lost. In reaching the lost, each student will offer their own relationship with the Lord and apply the principles found within life experiences. This will help them reach the lost more effectively. Through the tools in which they are equipped, the students will be a powerful instrument in the hand of God. We train the students in ministry tools which we believe are relevant, innovative, and most importantly, pleasing to the Lord.
Serve, not be served
Throughout Masters Commission, our students will have the opportunity to bind their hearts and minds to that of our Master. Servanthood is inspired in our hearts and lived through our actions. Through Masters Commission, this heart will be developed. In living the life of a servant, each disciple will learn the importance of awareness, maturity and selflessness. We develop this lifestyle through teachings, examples and hands-on experiences.
