Do you like meeting people? Do people tell you how outgoing you are? Would you like to make a difference at Central? Then the Care's Team is for you.
Our Cares Team manages the door greeters before services, and pays brief home visits (with homemade cookies!) to our guests. Members of this team are the crucial first impression visitors have of our church, and are a deeply valued part of our ministry team.
Joann Adams leads this ministry and she has organized weekly teams. Team leaders organize with their team to cover the doors before service and as they greet the attendees, they smile, open the door, help find classes, hand out bulletins, and generally make people feel welcome and at home. Then, all our guests that service will get a home visit from someone on that team, simply saying welcome and dropping off a wonderful gift of homemade cookies. This method of connecting with people has proven highly effective in our growth over the past several years.
