EDGE MINISTRY TEAMS
First Time Visitors
The purpose and mission of this team is to let guests know that they
are welcome, and that they have found a friend. This is done by phone
calls, text messages, my space, and letters.
Creative Concepts
Using the most creative students in
our youth ministry, this team designs the graphics for our web site,
flyers, invites, and special services.
Resource Table
This team is responsible for the advertising and sale of all products, such as t-shirts, cd's, tickets, dvd's .
Pre Service Prayer
Prayer is an essential part of
everything we do as a youth ministry. Each Wednesday @ 6pm we meet in
the Chapel to pray for the service and for God to move in the lives of
our visitors and students.
Ushers
This team provides service support
through collecting offering, passing out information, and assisting
leaders to insure that EDGE services run smoothly.
Intercessory Prayer
The purpose is to challenge students to
learn and grow in their understanding and development of the ministry
of prayer, and to serve as support and encouragement to our students.
Everyday, someone is praying for you.
Photography
The
purpose is to include the artistic side of EDGE by submitting 25
pictures each month to be used for web design, backgrounds, and
services.
Media Team
This
team is always learning the newest, hottest, and best in mass
communication. Multimedia is what this generation is saturated with.
This team also helps run things for our main service.
EDGE Worship Band
EDGE Worship band strives to worship in
such a way as to please the Father. We accomplish this in two ways, in
Spirit and in Truth. This is what God seeks! We do not just play
worship. Our desire is to be worship. God longs for heart to heart
communication with his children. Week after week, we play songs that
provoke young people to go farther than they have ever gone before, and
to have a face to face encounter with God.
EDGE Sign In
God
has given us the responsibility of discipling the students that come to
us, so we must know who is coming and who has fallen through the
cracks. This ministry ensures that there are no cracks and everyone is
accounted for.
Weekday Volunteers
The
day to day running of EDGE takes a lot of help. You can be apart of our
volunteer ministry by coming to the youth office after school on Monday
and Thursday. Email, Phone Calls, Letters, Filing, Visitors,
Follow-up, Just show up and we will put you to work.
Campus Missionaries /// Youth Alive
Currently
we have Youth Alive Clubs on 6 different campuses. Our goal is to
expand and reach our schools through on campus ministry. Below are
listed times and locations of clubs on your campus. If you do not see
your campus listed email Kandace and let's get one started.
Haughton Middle: Sponsor: Mrs. Jeniffer. Every Friday morning at 7:10
in Mrs. Jeniffer Welches room/Commons Area. Every 1st and 3rd Friday is an
actual Youth Alive meeting in the Commons Area, while every 2nd and 4th Friday
is prayer in Mrs. Jeniffers Room. (the students know where each place is im
told).
C.E. Byrd:
Sponsor: Mrs. Driggers. Every Wednesday morning at 7:45 in room S105 (Mrs.
Driggers room).
Parkway High:
Sponsor: Mr. Mark Menton. Every Wednesday afternoon at 2:40 pm (right after
school) in the Band Room.
Airline: Sponsor:
Coach Pratt. Every Wednesday morning at 7:00 in C2 (Coach Pratt's room). [they
might begin meeting in Mrs. More's room due to complications with Coach Pratt
with in the next couple of weeks. Ill keep you posted]
Youree Drive Middle:
Sponsor: Mr. Karson and Mrs. Kelly Byrd. In Room 702(Mrs. Karson's room) Every
Wednesday morning at 7:00. {it is actually Youth Alive and FCA meeting together
and they switch off speakers each week} They have a morning breakfast once a
month at the Mc Donalds that is right across the street and the dates for that
is alwasy tentative. They alson meet every 3rd Wed. in Mrs. Maison's room (201)
durring club time at school around 2:00.
Haughton High:
Every OTHER Thursday morning at 7:00 in Coach St. Andre's room.
